Z-Wave Struts The Smart Grid At DistribuTECH
The Z-Wave Alliance showed off its solutions for the Smart Grid-Smart Home connection at DistribuTECH, the utility industry's premier event for Smart Grid technologies.
In addition to the Alliance presence, a number of member companies was also exhibiting, including Kampstrup, RCS, Radio Thermostat Company of America (RTCOA), Tridium and HAI by Leviton. Tridium demonstrated how Z-Wave control is part of the company's JACE framework for connectivity, and displayed its smart thermostat and lighting controls. RCS showed off its extensive range of Z-Wave products; of particular interest was the company's battery powered thermostat and the new touch screen stat coming to market soon. Radio Thermostat Company of America (RTCOA) also had a major presence at the show. On display was their connected thermostats many of them Z-Wave controlled. Both Alarm.com and AT&T were also present at the show, showing off Z-Wave solutions for the evolving Smart Grid market.
